Structure of the Tribunal
The Tribunal discharges its functions through panels of three members: a legal member (who acts as convener), a medical member and a general member. In cases relating to patients subject to a compulsion order and restriction order (CORO) or to a hospital direction (HD) or transfer for treatment direction (TTD), the convener will be the President of the Tribunal or a sheriff, from the shrieval panel of the Tribunal. The judicial arm of the Tribunal is supported in its functions by the staff of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS).
