Recruitment

The Tribunal regularly recruits legally qualified individuals to serve as curator ad litem.

At present we are particularly interested in potential curators ad litem based in the Highlands or Grampian areas.

We would also welcome applications from people with an ethnic minority background, located anywhere in Scotland.

If this is of interest to you, more information can be obtained by contacting Jenna Swan at jswan@scotcourtstribunals.gov.uk

Please note that a history of practising in mental health law is not necessary, although familiarity with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 is expected.  The Tribunal is looking for people who are interested in serving the needs of those who cannot represent themselves.

Legal members of the Tribunal are excluded from being a curator ad litem.
